Crynet Project

THE CHALLENGE: Print My Rocket
Technology

Design a rocket that could be built in place inside one of the four bays of the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) at Kennedy Space Center, which is 525 ft (160 m) tall. Utilize additive manufacturing (aka 3D printing) where possible, considering which materials might be able to be used and which ones may have to be brought in already manufactured.

Explanation

Starting by design a space rocket called CRYNET which has cryogenic engine and a start push up thrust equals with dual solid booster 5797.68 KN

CRYNET will have (Saturn V) body with dual solid booster and cryogenic engines used in (Ariane V), so how we designed our CRYNET ?

first of all preparing ground system for our launcher, then we will construct a 3D builder building to supply the (V.A.B) with the ready parts of the rocket to be used by conveyor belt to assembled to its place, so what parts will be manufactured and what will be 3D printed ?

Due to the available material of 3D printing we decided to print air frame using "PPS" and printing nozzle using "7075T6" aluminum and titanium alloy and the other components like fuel pump , fuel tanks and payload will be conventional manufactured , so if you are asking why we select "PPS" ,because of its mechanical properties and thermal stability either

select aluminum and titanium alloy because it can handle temperature above 2500 k

after assembly operation we will move the launcher to (MPL) then will be loaded on crawler to launchpad
