THE CHALLENGE: Clear for Take Off
Aeronautics

To comply with security and airline protocol, air travelers should arrive at the airport well in advance of their flight. Without realizing the probability of adverse conditions at the time of the scheduled departure, they may experience inconvenient delays at the airport. Delays can be short and relatively easy to manage, or they can cause long hours of waiting in crowded airports. Flight delays can even cause forced overnight stays at local hotels or inside the terminal. Travelers could benefit from knowing the likelihood of a delay as it could help them prepare for the wait time. Can an app be developed that predicts the impact of weather on airplane departure times?

Explanation

Hey, it's time to go. This will be a powerful app on flight delay. The weather and airport status could be obtained of the departure city and the arrival city as well. Then the app will be able to predict whether this plane will be delayed and if it will, how long will it be.

In detail, many flights were delayed or even canceled through the past decades. The flights might be influenced by various weather changing. The main objectives of this APP including: get the weather information of both the take-off city and the arrival city, obtain the status of both of these two airports, analysis the possibility of delay, display it on the screen. By the end of this event. The UI interface has been designed and the information between smartphone and internet has been linked. However, we don’t have enough time to combine them together. Our final prototype could get the weather information online and the status of the airports. The approximate possibility of delay could be predicted.

If this APP is fully developed in the near future, it will make the flight travels easier and save many money and time of course.
