Avision Tower - drone path planner

Create an app that will enable small drone operators to know more about specific weather parameters, local terrain and no fly zones within a five-mile radius of their GPS location.

Avision Tower is an android mobile application designed to enhance drone flight experience and enforce comprehensive safety. Avision Tower connects to the drone via mavlink protocol and controls the entire operation including mission planning and execution. To accomplish mission clearance, we take into account multiple parameters:

• weather
• no-fly zones
• obstacle databases
• terrain
• other drones
• manned aircraft
• etc

The operator can see no-fly zones and weather recommendations via Application UI. Moreover, the whole flight plan is built, monitored, and controlled with all of the above intelligence. Should there be a change in air situation (new restricted zone), our system will recalculate the path for all UAVs thus creating the foundation for unmanned traffic management.
To demonstrate quick implementation potential with other existing mission planners, we integrated our functionality into an open source mission planner by 3DR.
