Help pastoralist communities around the world preserve their livelihood, by providing them access to information and resources (e.g grass land, water, safe routes) to prepare and support their migration journey.

The objective of the project is to design a working prototype for a mobile application which provides pastoralists community with information on land monitoring: water availability, grassland, and assist communities in networking.

Explanation

Pastora gives the tools for empowering the pastoralism communities via knowledge, with the purpose of making decisions that will improve their quality of life.

Today, approximately 200 millions of pastoralists around the world that generate profits for example between 5 to 10 percent of GDP at Subsaharian Africa, and generates a way of life in hard environments, where the conventional agriculture is limited or unavailable.

The purpose of Pastora is to:
- Reduce the poverty.
- Reduce the malnutrition.
- Grow the productivity.
- Improve the quality of life of the pastoralists.
- Involve governments, universities, economic forums, and other actors to solve this problem.

Pastora is a mobile application that provides the user with an extensive data analysis, explaining where the best conditions for pastoring in the area are. Pastora takes into account all the available information and merges it in a easy to read map that displays the right areas to perform the pastoring activity.
