Develop an approach for characterizing the composition of asteroid for mining potential and a process for mining different compositions. Explore a possible division of labor involving different types of vehicles (e.g. sensor units, drilling units, power gathering and distribution, extracted resources handling and transferring). Consider solutions for moving said asteroids between different orbits and/or consequently make periodical adjustments to keep them in place. Analyze how your idea would cope in some of the given scenarios or outline a scheme of your own.

Explanation

The Year is 2035 and you have been accepted to work at the first deep space mining facility. Solus mining facility has been embedded within one of the largest Nickel-Iron composite asteroids orbiting the furthermost reaches of our solar system. Your mission is to collect and analyse incoming asteroids for company mining viability. Mission specification includes: Sampling/analysis of asteroid composition and Protecting the Solus mining facility from incoming asteroid collisions Further instructions will be relayed once you reach the Solus facility. At the Solus facility you will be equipped with A low range mining vessel, Manually controlled turret defence system, An Asteroid composition system and An Asteroid long range identification sensor.
