Solar System PlanED

THE CHALLENGE: Book it to the Moon
Solar System

Develop an interactive app for children that uses smart phone and tablet sensory to locate the Moon (any time of the day, even below horizon), which unlocks current lunar data (phase, distance, etc), and then presents the user options for reading a "Moon" related story, view space agency photos and videos, and/or fun facts about the Moon. The goal of this challenge is edutainment and raising awareness about lunar missions around the world.

Explanation

My solution is for young kids aged 6 to 12 to develop a basic understanding about planets and how far they are and what are they made of and how much time does it take to go there and in relation to this how much fuel and water does it take for astronauts to keep in order for them to carry out their mission easily and successfully.

The game will be like a endless Space Race freemium game where you need calculate Fuel (POWER required) before hand (more like when you have to calculate the angle with which you need to launch your rocket to reach escape velocity.

This is more like Angry birds shooting in angry birds game but in this case if towards orbit for orbit escape velocity.

so kids will have a basic idea about escape velocity and also the microgravity of planets.

Once you are in space you need to fire your rocket jets to move quickly and then you ned to avoid asteroids and also other space stations in order to reach moon (the first stage of our project) and once you hand on moon you will be in a rover to collect basic samples (as per our list) and that will give you more credit to get more fuel in the space station called "planED" and once you refuel you will need to go to next planet and so on.

The fuel will be displayed on the side bar and also how much distance is left so that it cab help the players know the exact situation and position of where they are and how much is left.

The player can also choose to BUY (using in app purchase) the credits or more fule in order to complete their levels.

you will also be needed to plant and test few experiments on each planet and all of the data (avaliable from NASA and current research) wil be used for it.

We will also develop a gamificaiotn model for this so that players can share their achievement on a leaderboard style.
