Moon Stories received a Global Nomination.
Develop an interactive app for children that uses smart phone and tablet sensory to locate the Moon (any time of the day, even below horizon), which unlocks current lunar data (phase, distance, etc), and then presents the user options for reading a "Moon" related story, view space agency photos and videos, and/or fun facts about the Moon. The goal of this challenge is edutainment and raising awareness about lunar missions around the world.
The moon gets hit by an asteroid and forgets it's history. You, the player, need to gather the moon's memories, to hear it's stories.
How it works:
Controls
The game is controlled by looking around with a tablet using the gyroscope.
The moons is placed in game based on the real moons position in relation to the players GPS coordinates.
Stories
The daily story will be chosen based on the date you are playing.
If there is no historical events attached to the date another story will be told from a collection of non-date related stories. This can be stories that is repetitive, e.g. eclipse or that happened so long ago we do not have the exact date, such as Theia.
