For this challenge, we invite you to become "virtual contributors" to the Asteroid Grand Challenge and develop a hypothetical method, concept note or simple prototype that demonstrates how Machine Learning could be used to help us avoid the same fate as the dinosaurs.
Thanks to a constellation of 4 cubesats in a GEO orbit, we can detect unidentified objects that could be classified as asteroids, potentially dangerous for mankind. using some cameras placed on cubesats, we take pictures, from different positions and at a fixed time, of these objects. Data will be transmitted to our servers that by the machine learning system, can detect asteroids or false positive. All the cubesats are cheaper than the traditional spacecrafts and will be the future of soace constellation. Moreover, a special app related to asteroid tracking, can reach a big audience and sensitize them about asteroids monitoring.
we search informations on the main NASA websites for cubesat design, "ANIMATION DESK" software for the video animation, IBM's WATSON for machine learning, EROKU cloud service and ANDROID for programming, personal background knowledge.
