Out-of-this-world fashion with function: clothing or accessories for earth or space wear!
Every space traveler – even the robotic ones – should feel? their very best during the journey, infused with the very best data and technology available. Earthlings can follow suit. Design a space data-tech-fashion wearable in the form of clothing or accessories that will collect or distribute data and technology in the following categories:
Design for Interconnectivity (staying more connected to team, community, and tools)
Design for Health (biometrics, physical and emotional health, and/or environmental alerts)
Design for Entertainment (sights, sounds, music, activity)
Carbon dioxide is a particularly challenging gas to deal with in Space. Humans produce CO2
through the natural breathing process, but too much CO2 in the air can cause headaches,
dizziness, increased blood pressure and much more severe symptoms. The Gasleak Monitor
demonstrates a new capability of continuous monitoring of the astronauts' immediate
surroundings. The astronauts attach specially designed CO2 sensors to their clothing’s and
wear them continuously for days to weeks. The sensors will wireless and send CO2 data to the
astronauts' and send alarm to connected android phone via Bluetooth communication. In this
project we used Arduino UNO board by which the data from sensor will parse into Android
phone.
