Aurora Game
Develop virtual reality viewers using International Space Station video feeds, Aurorasaurus or other camera data that features views of the northern lights, or gives users other virtual experiences of viewing the Earth from the International Space Station.
NASA offers versatile tools for scientists and science enthusiasts to benefit from NASA's discoveries, but these tools could be used by a wider audience. Our Android application makes use of the popularity of smart phone games in order to better market NASA's ISS feed. Using ISS images, the player would maneuver aurora into a specific shape. Using our app, the user has the ability to also benefit from a spectacular virtual reality experience, also using the ISS aurora images. It is our belief that our app, and further apps developed using the same way, would immensely increase the population benefiting from NASA tools, thus maximizing the returns on research investments.
