Have you ever wanted a rocket pack to soar amongst the sky? Now you can … on Mars… Gravity is less, atmospheric density is less, and the vistas are breathtaking. So come to Mars...
Buck Rogers aside, Mars is an interesting environment for out-of-this-world mobility options for an explorer. This challenge asks for the definition of a conceptual mobility solution to allow an astronaut to easily and rapidly explore Mars including overcoming obstacles such as cliffs, ravines and other difficult terrain. The solution should be person-portable and any means or source of propulsion be locally produced.
This challenge can be answered by:
Our main motive is to increase the overall efficiency of jetpacks that can be used on mars. Dividing it into two categories ie.. using gyroscope to increase the stability of jet pack which will ultimately reduce the use of propellant for orientation purposes and another one is on power source ie.. using the solar wind which contains highly energetic particles like alpha particles, electrons, helium ions etc and confining them to a region by the use of artificial magnetic fields on a thermocouples which will convert the heat into electrical energy. Coming back to the use of Gyroscopefor jetpack purposes in gravity-less, atmosphere-less environment they can really be a PAIN IN THE BACK. Its really difficult to stabilize ourselves using JETPACKS. Like its difficult to capture smooth elegant pictures in space.
we aspire to propose what according to us can be a POTENTIAL solution.
We are inspired by the SPIN STABILIZED SATELLITES technique
