Have you ever wanted a rocket pack to soar amongst the sky? Now you can … on Mars… Gravity is less, atmospheric density is less, and the vistas are breathtaking. So come to Mars...
Buck Rogers aside, Mars is an interesting environment for out-of-this-world mobility options for an explorer. This challenge asks for the definition of a conceptual mobility solution to allow an astronaut to easily and rapidly explore Mars including overcoming obstacles such as cliffs, ravines and other difficult terrain. The solution should be person-portable and any means or source of propulsion be locally produced.
This challenge can be answered by:
Radioactive Mars Our challenge is to make A jet for the astronauts to explore the red planet ' Mars ' .. we know that the fuel source is a critical problem faces us , so we thought to get a continues source . It was required to use a local source from the planet . We found discovered that ' Mars ' is a radioactive planet , so we tried to get the best use from that . most of the radiation on ' Mars ' is cosmic rays which consists of protons " 95%" so we searched for nuclear reaction with protons . P+Li-7>>2α We want to use the energy emitted by nuclear reactions to generate electricity to charge ion lithium batteries we use for the jet . The batteries will create a circuit creates Ac current goes through a coil surrounding a core from chopper , that will make the chopper critically heated and ionize Co2 ' 97% from the Martian atmosphere ' comes from a compressor on the top of the nozzle to convert it into plasma then it will make thruster in the end of the nozzle .
