A two day event where you can hack for space.

Space Apps Reno & Microsoft Hackathon Joining Forces

Enter your Space Apps Challenge project in both hackathons this year. If you choose to participate in both events be sure to register for the Microsoft Reno Hackathon.

Combined event notes:

  • Reno Hackathon runs from 4/23 @12pm to 4/24 @11:59am - you'll need to have your project completed and begin the Microsoft submission process at Sunday11:30am
  • If you submit and present for the Reno Hackathon you don't have to demo again for Space Apps Reno. However, if you would like to then be ready by 5pm on Sunday to demo.
If you sign up for both hackathons you are eligible to receive:
  • Swag - lanyards, t-shirts, posters, stickers, etc.
  • Raffle items
  • Judged prizes

Event Information

Event Location: DeLaMare Science & Engineering Library on the University of Nevada, Reno campus.

Schedule
  • Day 1
    • 10am - Start
    • 10:15am - Break into project teams
    • 11:00am - Teams setup project in Space App portal
    • 4pm - Project status check
    • 8pm - Project status check
    • 10pm - Shutdown for the night OR continue hacking if part of Microsoft Hackathon
  • Day 2
    • 10am - Resume hacking
    • 10:15am -Assess work to be done
      • What can be completed by 4pm?
    • 11:30am to 1pm - Judging for Microsoft Hackathon
    • 4pm - Stop work and prepare for demo
    • 5pm - Demos, judging and awards
    • 6pm - Finished!
