Thinking about forming a team for Space Apps Challenge 2016? We hope you do!! This is our third year hosting the event and we are gearing up for next month.

TechShop is a unique venue that allows participants to have access to equipment and tools necessary to build working prototypes that their team develops.

We are proud to say that we have had some amazing projects come out of TechShop in 2014 and 2015, including:

Event Information

We are located in La Frontera shopping center which is attached to the Lowe's along I-35 where 45 intersects.

What is provided:

  • WiFi
  • Conference room space
  • Volunteers to help you build a prototype (you will have access to hand tools to use without a volunteer - all machines and equipment must be operated by someone who has clearance)
  • Work space / build space
  • Coffee, Tea, Popcorn

What you should bring:

  • Laptop
  • Materials
  • Snacks (trying to get sponsors to help with this)
  • Teammates (or meet someone new)
  • Ideas!

Friday, April 22nd (6PM - 8PM)
Pre Challenge MeetUp at TechShop - Brainstorm, meet other participants, choose your challenge, or just hang out! (Join virtually too through Google Hangouts! Meet other participants, enjoy light refreshments and snacks, and tour TechShop.

Saturday, April 23rd (9AM - 10AM)
Registration / Check-in (Registration is not required prior to Saturday but encouraged so that we can prepare for those interested in joining us.)

Sunday, April 24th (8AM - 8PM)
Our building will be open to non-members starting at 8 AM. Begin working and we will wrap up in the evening to do informal presentations to the group and give out final submission instructions.
