Airbox - A smart phone solution for locating Air plane / Sattellite / Rocket / Drone crash

Earth

Collect and develop geotagged information about local ties to space and aviation to incorporate within geo-based games/web applications/tools. Many apps and programs exist that allow users to input information about a location that corresponds to the real world. Public information and historical space events could be added to the location within the program. While exploring a new region, users can learning new facts about how the community played a role in new scientific discoveries or innovations in aviation or spaceflight.

Explanation

AirBox - from Indo-mars.com

Hundreds of vehicles lost in the Sea with or without people. In 2015 alone there are about 5 big losses - Malaysia, India, Russia and sure there are lot more unreported air plane crashes and rocket sinking.

Here are list of missing planes in Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_missing_airc... - But this is not even close to the real numbers.

Malaysia Airlines Flight MH 370 Crash is a mysterious misery. Here is a simplest simple solution for an answer.

AirBox - from Indo-mars.com

AirBox

  • Fits to the exterior of the plane without making any impact to the air dynamics of the plane.
  • It contains of an Iridium Satellite antenna attached android phone, an emergency signal light, flare, float.
  • When the plane declines in an unexpected speed and closure to the sea level, it detaches automatically from the plane and floats in the water / unfolds on the ground.
  • The moment it touches the floor - the Satellite phone makes a call to the server - that in turn dispatches the message to all the stack holders.
  • As the rescues team approaches the floating AirBox, they can activate any action in the phone like to light up the emergency light or fire up the flare.
  • Depending on the requirements, this device could be loaded with other features like recording whole flight history from exterior with camera or without it, just data.

COST:

This Device can be made within $500/- as the Satellite calls are charged only when calls are made. Right now there is no good solution exist including Black Box.

A simplest simple but smarter solution is far better than nothing.

Problems to implement:

  • Time to get the Federal Aviation Administration - approval
  • Keep the battery charged all time -
  • Fixture that suits most vehicles (Rocket / Satellite / Planes / Drones)

Solution:

There are exterior lamps and look down cameras in practice in many planes. AirBox will be just an extension to those devices.

And it weighs less than a pound , may be lighter than the camera fixtures.

We are trying to raise funding to complete the prototype. Please email us at info@indo-mars.com if you like to support this project in anyways.
